Balance. Such a simple word yet in every day life, it can be challenging to achieve. With work schedules, family time and random events, it can be difficult to find balance in it all.
You don’t have to achieve complete balance in your life all at once. Baby steps is the way to go. Begin in one area of your life and go on from there. Whether you start with a balanced diet, balanced schedule or balanced social life, begin where if feels comfortable and make that change toward your goals.
I began almost a year ago with balancing my eating habits and cutting out meat and eating more fish and vegetables. Am I perfect all the time with this change? NO. But I keep a steady rhythm so I don’t lose focus. I like to drink wine and balancing that in my eating habits so I don’t consume too many calories is challenging, but doable.
An then there is my skin. While I do like to wear make up, some of the make up I wear may not be organic or natural. I stick to a great cleansing and moisturizing routine that is natural which helps me feel more balanced when I don’t wear cosmetics that are 100% natural or organic. Skincare is important to me especially as I age and what I put on my skin has become more important. If you cannot do a complete switch with your products, finding a balance in skincare and cosmetics and meeting halfway can improve your skin overall. Remember, stay hydrated with lots of water and work from the inside out.
Although there are different forms and stages of balance we can find in our life, don’t be overwhelmed. Start out slow and with what will be an easier adjustment and then keep it moving to achieve balance throughout your life.
