We don’t always have the time or money for long sessions of pampering ourselves but we know we need to take care of our mind, body & soul. Well, here are a couple quick and easy fixes when you are in a rush that work for me.
Feet! It’s sandal season and your feet aren’t the smoothest. You don’t have time for a full on pedicure but need to fix it fast. Place one of our rice pillows in the microwave for 60 seconds and while it’s heating up, massage on a nice amount of our Restorative Foot Balm on your feet and place thick and cozy socks on them. When rice pillow is warm, put on some mood music, kick up your feet and place pillow on them to make the warmth soften those dry tootsies. After 5 minutes, switch pillow to under your feet and focus on heels for another 5 minutes. Take off pillow and socks to notice the smooth difference. This will hold you over until you can give your feet some much needed time and attention.
The same can be done for dry hands, knuckles and cuticles. Follow the same procedure but with our Gardener’s Salve & Cuticle Cream. Massage cream into hands and cuticles, place some mittens, gloves or even socks on your hands. Then place warm rice pillow over the top and let sit for 5 minutes. It’s a quick softening treatment when you don’t have time for an official manicure.
Of course I believe we should always take time for self care and to pamper ourselves but life doesn’t make that easy. I hope these tips help you stay smooth while looking and feeling good.
